Does Your Outlook Window Look Like this 1/2 the Time?

I have tried installing, uninstalling addins, and all sorts of other hacks. But I find that half the time my outlook window still looks like this:

Is it just me? I am going to start trying other e-mail software because its just to painful to use my e-mail these days. Any suggestions are welcome with the following caveats:

  • Mozilla’s Thuderbird chokes on large volumes of e-mail even worse than Outlook does (I have about 800 Megs of email).
  • I don’t want a web client because I use it offline too often.
